Vintage dress dates to the 1950's. It retailed at Polly's on Park Ave. and was designed by Evelyn Byrnes Inc. It is made from ivory cotton or cotton blend fabric with a green and orange floral print. Fitted bodice has front boat neck and scoop back neck. Diagonal gathering on wide waistband panel culminates in a fabric covered buckle at side waist. Skirt is gathered all around waist seam. Gauze lining. Center back metal zippered closure. Please note that this dress was not photographed with a crinoline underneath.

Stunning gown and wrap from Beverly Hills designer Maxwell Shieff dates to the 1950's and is made of black and gold jacquard with a large-scale floral motif. Gown is fitted throughout outside of a fishtail hem. Dress is lined and has a center back zipper. Wide wrap could be worn a variety of ways.
Vintage gown from Mr. Blackwell dates to the 1950's through early 1960's and is fully covered in black and fuchsia sequins. Fitted throughout. Squared bustline with narrow shoulder straps. Center back zipper. Fully lined. Back vent in skirt.
Vintage anonymous ball gown dates to the 1950's and is made of multiple layers of cream silk organza. Silk satin waistband and skirt panels feature striking red cut velvet flowers with beaded detailing. Fitted bodice is strapless and features interior boning. Full skirt has crinoline sewn in at the waist that may have been added after the gown was made. Center back metal zipper. This is a very well-made gown that employed couture-like finishing and materials. Unfortunately no label is present.

Condition: Excellent. There is a very small hole in the top layer of the skirt. It is difficult to notice.
Vintage gown from Frank Starr likely dates to the late 1950’s to early 1960’s and is made of black crepe with black sequins sewn in a squiggle pattern that diminishes in density from top to bottom. Gathered black chiffon band starts at right under-breast and completely covers the left breast as it goes around the back. Band snaps at right back and cascades down almost to the hem. Fitted throughout. Unlined. Side metal zipper.
Vintage dress and sweater ensemble was made by Italian designer Anna Giovannozzi and features a cream knit ground that is completely covered with iridescent sequins. Sleeveless dress has round neck and is fitted throughout. Waist-length sweater has a single center front button closure and 3/4-length sleeves. Dress is lined and has center back zippered closure. Sweater is unlined.

Vintage little black dress dates to the 1960's and is made of a mixture of lace and crepe. Beaded bust has a deep v-neck and opening at back. Center back zipper. Unlined. Unfortunately the label is no longer present. The original owner remembers that it was a custom-made piece for her by the Italian couture house of Gattinoni; however, this verbal provenance cannot be proven. No size label. Best suited for a size 4.
Condition: Excellent. Wear consistent with age and use.

Vintage cocktail dress from Donald Brooks dates to the 1960's and is made of black wool crepe and features faux pearl detailing at the neckline and down the center back bodice. There is gathering just under the bust in a V formation resulting in a slight fullness to the skirt. Long sleeves have zippered cuffs. Fully lined. Center back zipper with hook and eye closures at upper back. Although the Elizabeth Arden tag remains, the Donald Brooks tag is missing.

Space-age dress from Donald Brooks dates to the 1960's and is made of cream-colored silk satin. Wide bands of fabric are concentrically stitched around neckline, at cuffs, down center front, and around the hem. A-line skirt. Wide bell sleeves. Center front covered snap closures. Fully lined. Detached belt with same stitching.
Condition: Excellent. The original lining of the belt was cracking, so an additional backing was added to the belt. It is unseen when worn.
Vintage dress from La Mendola dates to the 1960's and is made of yellow silk with a polychromatic floral print. High front neck with v-neck back. Shift-style. Back zipper in skirt. Fully lined. No size label. Best suited for US 6-8.
Condition: Excellent. There are some light small stains throughout that get lost in the print unless upon close inspection. Wear consistent with age and use.

Vintage cocktail dress by Larrry Aldrich dates to the 1960's and retailed at Doris Scott. It made of black crepe that is adorned with black bugle beads in a squiggle pattern throughout. Round neck and short sleeves. Center back zipper. Fully lined in kelly green silk.
Condition: Excellent with a few loose beads throughout.
Vintage dress from Marimekko dates to the 1960's. It is made of cotton printed with orange and dark pink vertical stripes. Inverted pleats begin below front and back yokes. Dress can be worn with optional sash, which changes the dress' silhouette completely. Unlined. Center front silver-toned metal button closure.
Condition: Excellent with minor wear consistent with age and use.
Labeled a vintage size 38, which would be suitable for a modern day size 2. Please refer to measurements-
Vintage mini dress/tunic dates to the 1960's and is labeled "Paradise Hawaii" and "Made in Honolulu". Printed cotton in shades of blues and greens features an abstracted floral print. Nehru collar. Three center front frog closures. Dress is open in the center front outside of these closures. To be worn as a dress, it would need to be sewn closed or have additional closures. Unlined.

Vintage party dress dates to the 1960’s and is entirely covered with iridescent sequins and silver seed beads over an iceberg blue chiffon. Fitted throughout. Scoop front and back bodice. Short sleeves are edged with three tiers of looped beaded fringe. Bands of silver seed beads trim the waist, sleeves, and neckline. Fully lined with what feels to be blue silk. Center back zipper. Unlabeled, but clearly a high quality piece.
Condition: Excellent with few loose beads throughout and some missing beading which is barely noticeable do to the density of the beading.

Vintage gown and cape from Italian couture house Gattinoni dates to the mid 1960’s. Gown is made of cream four ply silk and is adorned with exquisite trim made of woven raffia, rhinestones, faux pearls and beads. Floor length textured pink cape has a floral pattern, matching trim around the neck band, and rhinestone buttons. Dress is fully lined and has a center back zipper closure. Lined cape is labeled, dress is not. This dress was custom made for an Italian actress at the 1965 premiere of Thunderball.
