1980's cocktail dress from William Travilla. Black pleated chiffon. Halter style with plunging v-neck. Handkerchief hem. Center back zipper. Lined. Mr. Travilla was the costume and fashion designer who designed many costumes for Marilyn Monroe, the most notable being the white dress worn while she stood over the subway grate in "The Seven Year Itch". If this dress looks familiar, it is because it is based off of that original design.
